With the help of the IEEE Student Branch at Christian Brothers University, Russel Saliendra (EE ’10) developed Pirate Radio, an online campus radio station for the CBU community. Russel was also appointed Director of Pirate Radio.
Patrick Louie (EE ’10), also an IEEE member, recently joined the newly-developed team for Pirate Radio as the Program Manager. Patrick is responsible for overseeing the performance of the shows and DJs. Pirate Radio is a campus-wide service consisting of student staff members, not only from the School of Engineering, but also from other schools on campus. Pirate Radio aims to institute an influential form of media that will foster the further unification of the CBU community. IEEE sponsors the station by providing and maintaining the necessary equipment for broadcast.
